Spas and pools are divided up into family-friendly and child-free areas to provide the best possible conditions for all visitors; choose from the range of available pool and spa packages below to select an option that best suits your needs and you'll be all set to enter and relax! With everything from basic entry to deluxe pampering packages available, everyone can enjoy Rotorua's Polynesian Spa - so book yourself a soothing NZ escape online today.
Inclusions
- We have 28 pools in four bathing areas that are priced accordingly – Deluxe Lake Spa, Pavilion Pools, Family Pools, and Private Bathing. There is no access from each area into the other complex bathing pools
- There are no time limits for bathing in any of our areas, excluding the private pools which are available for 30 minutes hire
Mineral Pools
Deluxe Lake Spa
- If you are after the ultimate indulgence choose the Deluxe Lake Spa, set amongst native New Zealand flora and overlooking Lake Rotorua. This area offers quiet relaxed bathing
- Lockers, towels, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer and body lotion are included
Pavilion Pools
- For adults only bathing we recommend the Pavilion Pools. This is Polynesian Spa's largest bathing area, with two different types of mineral water, and no children guaranteed
- Towels, lockers and swimwear are NOT included but can be hired at additional cost
Private Pools with different views
- For the ultimate privacy we have 13 Private Pools, 4 of which have stunning views over Lake Rotorua.
Family Pools
- One large geothermally heated chlorinated freshwater pool, and two shallow hot mineral pools for all to enjoy. There is even a small hydro slide!
- There is no access between the different bathing pools at the complex
- Towels, lockers and swimwear are not included but can be hired at additional cost
Highlights
- Polynesian Spa offers hot mineral bathing in a choice of four different bathing areas
- You simply choose an area to suit your requirements: deluxe pools, adult only pools, private pools or family spa
Operating Hours
- Polynesian Spa is five minutes walk to central Rotorua and two minutes walk to the closest hotels – the Millennium Hotel and the Sudima Hotel Lake Rotorua. Other major hotels and accommodation are a five minute drive away
- Open every day (including Christmas and Public Holidays) from 8am to 11pm with the last pool entry at 10.15pm (spa therapies 10am to 7pm). Our mineral pools are open and spa therapies available under all weather conditions
- Please note autumn and winter will affect the operational hours of the family pools, hours will be adjusted to 8am to 9pm with the last pool entry at 8:15pm
Additional Information
- Please note private pools have to be booked in advance, please advise your preferred time
- There is no access between the different bathing pools at the complex
- Free onsite car parking
- The venue is wheelchair accessible, however there are no hoists into the pools
- Pool temperatures range from 33C- 42C
- Changing rooms and showers are available
- Swimwear has to be worn when bathing in the pools
- Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult
- Children under 5 years are free of charge with the exception of the Lake Spa where ages 0-2 years are free of charge
- Pool opening hours are subject to change without notice

“ This was a blissful evening in the deluxe pools. The showers were incredible, hot, and well-pressured. We had our night with the blue moon and it was only made better at this spa. It truly felt like a luxurious experience with the amenities provided and the cafe.

It was a wonderful and relaxing experience. The pools were perfectly heated and the view was breathtaking. We opted for a deluxe private pool but were upgraded due to maintenance activity and we can't complain. Would definitely recommend visiting once.

Lots of pools to choose from and beautiful views across the lake. We spent 90 mins here and had such a relaxing time. Get there early and beat the crowds, also remember to take off your jewellery. Go visit one of the worlds top ten spas, you won’t regret it!

The ease of purchasing tickets through ExperienceOz was great! When we arrived at the Polynesian Spa it was very straight forward as well! We thoroughly enjoyed the thermal heated spas and the priest pool! The changing rooms were up to standard, I would definitely go back!
5 years agoMy fiancé and I loved the Lake Deluxe Pools
My fiancé and I loved the Lake Deluxe Pools. Although it was a Saturday, it was not over-crowded. The views were incredible, it felt other-worldly! The seats were a great addition for when we wanted to step out of the pools for a moment. The cold pool and shower were a great touch too - it helped to cool us off and ensure we didn't dehydrate too quickly. The amenities in the showers and changing room were all we could ask for! The only thing that could be improved is the reach of the wifi - you had to sit inside to have a connection. Otherwise, it was a lovely and very special occasion.

Just what I needed after plenty of hiking and travelling around this week! Very relaxing and an awesome experience for first timers! If you are in need of some downtime or looking to relax, then I would highly recommend this experience for you, friends and family.

This was wonderful - just what we all needed. Very relaxing and therapeutic. We were a family group ranging in age from 5 to 60+ so we chose the Family Spa for the sake of our granddaughter and we all had a fantastic time.

Awesome four hours spent at the Polynesian Spa in Rotorua. I did the lake spa and was very happy with the experience. One pool was not working as it was too hot but there was enough space in the other pools. Gorgeous view overlooking the lake - a good way to relax after travelling.

We had a very great time at Polynesian Spa Pool. It was very easy to booking. and the staff there very nice. We actually need to go there on Saturday, but the booking showing that was on Sunday. So we made the call and they changed the right time for us. Very effective and satisfactory customer service.
