A Lake Wakatipu cruise on the TSS Earnslaw is akin to stepping back in time - the steam-driven vessel dubbed "The Lady of the Lake" provides the venue for a one and a half hour cruise that showcases some of the best of New Zealand's alpine scenery. You'll have ample time to explore the decks and bridge of this historical cruise ship, visit the engine room and view the historical collection of photos in its gallery.
With such facilities on board as a licensed cafe and bar that serves both a selection of cafe-style food, beer, wine and spirits, you'll have access to everything you need to enjoy the cruise on these scenic waters in comfort while soaking in the natural majesty that surrounds you in every direction. The cruises depart regularly throughout the day and are suitable for all ages.

- Parking in Summer months can be challenging, please ensure you allow ample time to park your car and check in for your departure
- All vouchers must be exchanged for boarding passes prior to boarding

- Full bar services operate on board the TSS Earnslaw as it cruises to and from Walter Peak

4 years agoThe cruise and farm shows and especially the high tea were awesome
The cruise and farm shows and especially the high tea were awesome! The ship was cool and well equipped. However my checking in experience was not that great. The girl at the counter was unable to understand the voucher which clearly states that the booking is for two adults and one kid. After 15 minutes of argument and she speaking to someone over phone she gave me all the tickets without an apology or even looking at my face.

Very enjoyable experience, friendly staff, comfortable ship, fantastic views. Wine way overpriced. I have no idea what else to write for the number of characters required, why can’t I just write what I want to? No wonder people don’t bother doing this

It was a wonderful experience! Friendly staff, such great views, suits for a sole traveller, lovers, family, friends. The people singing on the steamboat, this is the life, peaceful, enjoyable. This is a must do experience in Queenstown, shall be in the list for anyone visiting New Zealand! Wow, what an experience!
7 years agoThe cruise was relaxing and enjoyable
The cruise was relaxing and enjoyable! Although I think most of my age group wouldn't really appreciate this kind of cruise till later on in their lives. Most of the passengers were older and it felt like it's primarily targeted to that age group. The cruise & dinner totally captured a golden age voyage ambience from start to finish. I felt like I was on a mini titanic scene and it was great! The dinner selection was exquisite especially their fish. The pianist on the boat definitely topped the whole experience with his beautiful melodies.
