For the adventurous at heart, Nomad Quad Safaris offer a unique scenic 4WD quad bike tour through the backcountry of New Zealand’s adventure capital – Queenstown. We specialise in small, personalised and fully guided 4WD tours on our fleet of fully automatic 400cc quad bikes. It doesn’t matter if you have ridden a quad bike all your life or if you have never stepped foot on one at all - this must-do activity is perfect for all levels.
The expert guides will assess and mould the trip to your ability ensuring an exciting, safe and challenging trip for all. Queenstown Hill features a wealth of 4WD trails covering a variety of terrain from easy to downright challenging! The 4WD tour will take you to many stunning viewpoints that are off the beaten track where you can enjoy the sweeping views of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and surrounding mountain ranges. At each scenic spot our knowledgeable guides will tell you fascinating facts about the local area. Before long you will be confidently grinding your way over the tracks, planting it through puddles and will be left wanting more by the end of the tour! This 3½-hour excursion with Nomad Safaris includes transfers, full training and a 4WD quad biking adventure of a lifetime!

“ This was an amazing experience. Loved every bit of it. Our guides were exceptional and the views even more incredible. We wanted to keep going longer, had a ball. The morning tea provided on the cliff top with views of the most beautiful country I have ever seen.

Super fun! My partner and I did the afternoon trip and were lucky enough to be the only ones on it! Fabian was great, very personable and professional. Views were breathtaking! I chose to wear my sunglasses which is allowed but I highly recommend you take a pair of goggles (which they provide) in case you get too much dust in your eyes.

We were fortunate enough on the day of our quad biking tour to be the only ones booked on, so our tour became a private one, which was nice. We started in the middle of the Queenstown high country getting geared up ready to explore farmland and hills with sensational Queenstown views. One thing that was obvious was that this company was all about safety. They definitely made sure you could ride well before we set off up the mountains. It seriously was an incredible way to explore the farmland and take in the breathtaking scenery. We were also able to stop at the top of the hill whilst enjoying a hot chocolate and biscuit. Highly recommend!!!

Highly recommend when in Queenstown. The guides and the equipment were both top quality, the tracks and the view from the top were absolutely stunning. The mud pits were a lot of fun as well. Well worth the money.
